Another card for the Dare to Get Dirty Challenges 2021.
Again, I cannot tell you the challenge, but I can tell you a bit.
This has been done using my Prima Metallic watercolours, which has a metallic black as well as the metallic gold, the two colours I used.
The first two layers are done in the gold, then once all was dry I added the black shadow on the left and the trees.
There are 3 layers on the black trees, except for the 3 trees on the left side of the card, where there is 4 layers of black watercolour.
Again, making sure everything was dry I then added in the branches, painting first with the gold, then adding in the black when the gold was dry.
I am so impatient when I am working on a card, but with watercolour I have learned to be patient and wait for things to dry, or dry them. I prefer to spray the back of the wet panel and lay flat to dry, thereby avoiding the buckling that a heat gun can cause.
Once this panel was dry I die cut it with my pierced rectangle dies then attached it to a dark piece of watercolour black card.
To finish up I die cut the hello using gold glitter cardstock and glued it to the front of the card.
I must say it was different making this card, but it was enjoyable, as I was not sure where I was going with it, and it took hardly any supplies.
