It is time for Old is New at Impression Obsession.
Sometimes we get so busy with newly released stamps that we forget about our old favourites. The Impression Obsession team has set aside a day this month to share some new projects using some great older stamps. You can see the list of today's participants on the Impression Obsession Blog.
To colour this stamp I placed Arches Cold Press watercolour paper in my Misti and using Zig Clean Color pens I coloured areas of the stamp using yellows, oranges, red, olive, green and turquoise. There is also a bit of purple in the dots around the leaves.
I added the colours one at a time, spritzed with a bit of water and stamped, moving on to a different stamp away from the one just completed to keep the colours from influencing each other.
I did however blend some red into orange to get that deeper orange colour.
I love doing this technique as no two are alike, I get completely different cards to send to friends. And, this stamp is one of the best I have to do this as well.
Once all was dry I stamped the sentiment using VersaFine Clair ink in Fantasia.
For my card base I used a nice shade of orange, and attached the watercolour panel to my card base using foam tape.
I hope you have enjoyed this card today, and wish to thank you for your visit.
