Hello all! Another card to share with you that I did for the Dare to Get Dirty 2021 challenges.
I decided to use somewhat pale colours for this card. I wanted that light pink sky, which is what started it all.
For this card I first die cut a piece of paper with the circle die to use as a guide for the scene I wanted to create.
Using a piece of Arches cold press watercolour paper I drew the mountains using my calligraphy brush pen as I liked the lines I achieved with it. It is not waterproof so when adding the watercolour I had to be careful to not touch it.
I used Manganese Blue to add colour on the mountains, and a thin wash of Opera Pink for the sky.
Normally both of these colours would be much brighter but mixing them with more water subdued them to where I wanted.
I then die cut the top piece of watercolour paper with the Penny Black die, and went around the circle with the Opera Pink watercolour, along with Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Blush.
In my mini Misti I stamped the lighthouse using VersaFine Clair ink and water coloured again using the Manganese Blue along with Hansa Yellow and Neutral Tint. Once dry I die cut the piece with the coordinating die.
To put it all together I attached my water coloured panel to my Kraft card base. I then applied foam strips to the back of the top die cut piece and attached it to the card, lining up with the image.
To finish up and keep it light using my small #4 paint brush I applied splatters with the watered down Opera Pink and the Nuvo Shimmer Blush.
