It is time for Watercolour Wednesday. Today we watched a video that shows three (3) ways of making wreaths.
The design team for Watercolour Wednesday encourage everyone to use any stamps they have that may fit the challenge. I think this stamp by Penny Black fits in with the challenge today, so I decided I would use it.
To paint this wreath I used Daniel Smith watercolours. To ensure the watercolour adhered to the stamp, I inked up the stamp with VersaMark embossing ink.
I then added different colours to the solid leaves, with colours to compliment for the negative leaves.
As the painting dried I began to add some sprays using the Alizarin Crimson and Indian Red.
When all was dry I added the splatters using the Cascade Green, Pyrrol Scarlet, Gouache and Midas Touch.
In my mini Misti I stamped the sentiment using VersaFine Clair ink in Green Oasis with Delicata Golden Glitz stamped over top.
For my card base I used Gina K. Designs Christmas Pine. I matted my watercolour piece with Gina K. Designs Cherry Red, then Gold Glitter card and attached to the green card base.
Thank you for visiting today. I hope you have enjoyed this card. I am always happy to have new ways to use stamps I have.
Following are Affiliate links for the products I used for this card, at no extra cost to you. I thank you for your continued support.
This turned out amazing with the stamping and watercolors. Never knew you could do this. Thanks for sharing.
