Meet Christmas Wreath.
The minute I saw this wreath I knew I wanted to colour it up. I loved the simplicity, yet pretty leaves, and of course the berries. We all love berries on our wreath I suspect. What is rare for me was to add the bow.
The reason was there was already a lot going on, but after adding it, I liked my card even more.
To start I used a Neenah card base with Gina K Design matting in Stone Gray. In my original Misti I then stamped the Christmas Words using distress ink in Hickory Smoke, trimming the size to fit my card.
Moving on to the Wreath, I stamped using Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black and proceeded to colour using Copic colours in G02, G14 and G09. For the berries and the wreath I used R22 then R24, leaving a small amount of the white showing.
I then added foam strips to the back of the wreath and attached it to my card front. In my mini Misti I stamped the sentiment using VersaFine Clair ink in Tulip Red on Neenah card, trimmed it up and glued it to the centre of the wreath.
I then added the bow to the right side, being sure to clear the sentiment, using a foam square.
To finish up I added tiny sequins on the wreath to bring in some sparkle - it is Christmas after all lol
The most time consuming part was the colouring, otherwise this card came together quickly and I hope you have enjoyed it.
