It is time for the Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoaststampers.com and we are visiting a Pinterest Board o Lighthouses. I picked this for my inspiration.
The name explains the "cold-like" colours I used to colour this bear, that I have now had for a few years without using! Sometimes I just forget what I have, and my recent remodel of my craft space has brought these unused stamps to my attention.
First up for this card was to decide on the background. I opted to use distress oxide inks in Blueprint Sketch and Salvaged Patina on the bottom. So the bottom would not be so stark in colour, I went lightly over this with the Blueprint Sketch, blending the area until smooth. I then added splatters of water.
Using Hammermill card I stamped the Bear using Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black. I then stamped the bear on a piece of paper and fussy cut to use as a mask and stamped the ice, also using the Tuxedo Black ink.
I used cool colours on the ice and bear for my colouring which keeps the "chill" feel.
The Copic colours I used on the ice are B000, C3, V22. On the bear I used C3 and V22. On the scarf there is V22 and BV02. On the boots is B23.
To finish I layered the background piece with white card and attached to a blue card base. I then splattered with the shimmering glitter.
I fussy cut the ice and bear, attaching using foam squares. I also fussy cut the smaller pieces and attached those with foam squares as well. I then added the Shimmering Glitter to the ice and the bear's nose.
