This card I did for the Inspiration Challenge this week at Splitcoaststampers.com. Julie is our hostess and she has picked a site called Touch of Class.
I was inspired by this scene, not by the prayers, but the colours and the bear plus a little girl.
To start my card I stamped the image in my mini Misti using Memento ink in Tuxedo Black. I then began to colour using Copic markers.
The colours I used starting with the Bear are E31, E37, E49, E97; Bears Ears R43; Bears Scarf YG07, YG09; Bear Feet E31 E97; Bird C3, C5, R29; Dog E51, E37; Tiger E97, E99, R29; Girls Wings BG10; Present BG10, BG72, Girls Tights C3, C5; Outfit R46; Hat R46, YG61, YG63; Skin E50, E31.
For the background I embossed the Neenah cardstock using my Sizzix embossing folder. Using the domed blending tool I applied the Salvaged Patina ink across the top of the snowflakes only.
I then attached the embossed panel to my red card base using Nuvo adhesive.
As I wanted to attach just the stamped image to my finished card I ran the piece through my Scan'n Cut leaving a small border around the image, then added foam tape to the back and added the stamped piece to my card front.
To finish up I die cut 3 of the "believe" sentiments and glued them together using the Nuvo glue. I sponged halfway up the sentiment the Salvaged Patina ink, then added glue to the bottom of the word attaching it to the card front to secure. I added a few silver snowflakes to finish my card.
