It has been awhile since I have made any cards. I took a bit of a break as I had to do some house stuff, which kept me pretty busy.
But I am back with my second card for today. My first card I did for the Scrap'n Stamp Blog Hop.
Today's card I have done for the Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoaststampers.com, which I am hosting. My challenge site is a Pinterest Board I created showing different china tea cups, one of my favourite things.
I picked this tea cup as my inspiration. It is not really a tea cup, but rather a chocolate set made by Limoges, one of my favourite manufacturers.
For my card I first sponged on Mustard Seed distress oxide, then added in some Wild Honey distress oxide, using the left over ink from my brush on the bottom part of the card front.
I then stamped the image using Wendy Vecchi Make Art Leaf Green. To colour I used Prismacolor Pencils along with Zest It blending solution.
It is time consuming colouring with pencils, but also relaxing, assuming you are not in a hurry. I enjoyed the time this card took to colour and I also like the final results.
To finish up I stamped the sentiment using VersaFine Clair ink in Pinecone, and added some gold gems from Studio Katia.
Thank you for your visit today. Following are Affiliate links for the products I used for this card, at no extra cost to you.
Such a beautiful, bright card! (I say as the snow falls, again, outside my window). Thanks for the tip about Zest It - I hadn't heard of it before
