Now back to the card I made for today's hop.
I did not have a Valentine themed stamp, but I thought this stamp would be cute to use.
To start my card I taped off the centre part of the card and applied layers of Distress Oxide inks using Salvaged Patina and Mowed Lawn. I then spritzed the inked piece with a mix of Perfect Pearls mixed with Sunflower.
I then die cut the panel piece and inked it with Salvaged Patina. Once dry I added Versamark embossing ink to the piece and heat embossed using Snow Crystal embossing powder. I then glued the panel to the inked area.
In my mini Misti on Hammermill card I stamped the tea cup image using Memento ink. I then stamped a rubber mirror image mat with the image and added my piece of cardstock over the stamped image, transferring the image to my cardstock in reverse.
I then die cut each of the pieces, die cutting the reverse image from the back of the stamped image. You can match this up by using a light box or as I did, hold the pieces up to the window to see where you are at.
I coloured using Copic Markers. The tea cup being BG00, BG11, BG32. The hedgehogs are done using E97, E35, E37, E49 with R20 on their cheeks, although it does not show in the pictures very well.
I then die cut the Tea sentiment 3 times and glued them together, colouring with R05.
Using foam squares I added the hedgehogs to the card, then glued on the Tea sentiment. In my mini Misti I stamped the sentiment using VersaFine Clair ink in Nocturne.
For the inside I sponged on Distress Oxide in Salvaged Patina around the edges instead of in the middle. Using the same die I coloured using the Mowed Lawn Oxide ink.
I then die cut the sentiment which was stamped using VersaFine Clair ink in Warm Breeze.
