Hello

This is "Hello".

I did this card for the Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoaststampers.com, where we had a visit to Simply Woven Always Vintage. 

I saw this rug which inspired my card, using the purple, yellow and reds along with the off white from the background. 

 Initially did have the blue in my background, but opted to not include it, but you can see hints of it in the sentiment. 

I decided to use one of the sets of backgrounds that I did recently using my gel press.

The colours I used are wilted violet, squeezed lemonade and candied apple. 

I should have blended again with my roller, but as I was loosing daylight I did not.

The next time I use this combination I will include the blue.

The sentiment is cut from one of the gel press pieces I did using these colours, one for the shadow and one for the top of the sentiment.

From white card I die cut 2 more pieces of the hello and glued them together, then adding the top coloured piece to the whites, and gluing the top pieces to the shadow.

To finish up I added Nuvo Crystal Drops in crushed grape. It has been ages since I have used any Nuvo drops, so it was time to give them some love.

As you can see in the above picture, a bit of the inside of the card is showing. I have not stamped a sentiment inside as yet, I will do that when I know who I am sending it to.
