Meet today's card "Love you". This is a card I made using some old and new products, share the love I say!
When I sat down to make a card I did not have anything set as to what I would do. When that happens I go rummaging through my backgrounds to see what stands out, and this time this heart background caught my eye.
I can't really say what colours I used, looks to be pinks and reds, but also could be some lavender in there. In any event it is a left over I made on my gel press using the left over ink from my brayer, along with a hearts stencil.
When I make backgrounds I use Hammermill paper to pull a print as well as for my brayer cleaning.
The press piece was larger, so I glued it to a piece of cardstock then trimmed to fit an A2 card.
Before attaching the piece to my card base I put down some pink inks on my work surface and placed a piece of 8.5 x 11 piece of card on its side and put down some pink inks. I then began spritzing the ink allowing it to splatter on to the cardstock. I turned the cardstock to the other side and repeated to get ink on the entire piece.
I then die cut and embossed the hearts from the splattered piece, which is faint, then die cut the heart die 3 times. I put down some red ink and spritzed then dragged the top hearts die through the ink and when dry glued the 3 pieces together.
I then attached the background to my card base, glued in place the hearts and using foam squares attached the heart die.
To finish up in my mini Misti I stamped the sentiment using VersaFine Clair ink.
Thank you for visiting today. I hope you have enjoyed this card, which was fun to make. In the end however, it caught the attention of my bird, and when I was not paying attention she ate the top heart off the stem of hearts. Geez Louise I say!

I love the little embossed hearts on the heart die cuts.
