This is "Playful".
This card I did for the Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoaststampers.com. The site we visited today is Desire to Inspire by Kim Johnson. This is the picture that inspired me.
It is such a beautiful sunny day here today and I am sure it has something to do with the colours I used, which I love.
The stencil work was done using Barn Door distress ink. To make the frame I used two dies from a Paper Rose die set and glued them together then attached to the card front using foam strips.
I am using a Penny Black stamp for the flowers, which are actually Snowdrops, but in my imagination they are just winter flowers.
In my mini Misti I stamped the vase of flowers with Memento Ink and did basic colouring with Copic markers as follows: Vase B000, Flowers Y19, Y35, Y38 and R00 for the tip of the flower. I then fussy cut them out.
To the back of the vase I added foam squares to attach to the card.
I think there is enough on the front of my whimsical card, so I left the sentiment for the inside. I very much enjoyed making this card, which is a departure from what I normally do, and that is always fun.
