This is "Hello Birdie".
As you all are aware, I love birds a lot, hence I love bird stamps! They can be any style of stamp, I love them all. And, when I can add colour, that makes it a beautiful day.
I wanted to do some stenciling to get myself in the mood as I will be doing stencil cards for A Colorful Life Designs throughout May. This stencil albeit is not from A Colorful Life Design, but I would love her to do whole stencils of writing, like this, wouldn't you?
I started this design by taping off the left side of my card allowing me to stencil the left bit using Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black. I did not want to have to concern myself with the possiblity of smears, hence the Memento ink.
Once the stencil work was complete I ran a piece of pink glitter tape down where I had taped off. On a separate piece of cardstock cut to fit the inside of my card I stenciled using the same stencil and ink for the inside design.
For the front I continued by stamping the branch again with the Memento Ink. I then stamped the bird and coloured using Copic markers in R43 and RV04, then die cut using the coordinating dies.
For the inside I finished the stenciled card by layering a piece of white card along with another layer of the bright pink cardstock glued together.
For the inside I also stamped another one of the birds on the bright pink card, along with the other style branch and a sentiment, again using the Memento ink.
Clearly I had a great time making this card, and I hope you will enjoy it as well.
A footnote, I bought the glitter tape at Michael's in Canada, so I do not have a link for it. I am sure it is also available in the USA.
Thanks so much for visiting me today. I have attached Affiliate links for the products I used for this card, at no extra expense to you.
