Home Grown

Let me introduce "Home Grown".

This card is done for the Scrap'n Stamp Random Act of Cardness, Day 18. My prompt word for today is Bunny. I decided to use a bunny even though Easter was yesterday to show different ways of using bunnies all year long.
You are thinking, but where is the bunny. He is coming, not to worry. But first the front of my card. To start I have made a 6 x 3.25 card.

For the background I did ink smooshing using Antique Linen, Gathered Twigs, Walnut Stain and Black Soot.

I then ran the background piece through my Gemini Jr. using the 3D embossing folder "Doily".
As the background is busy with the colours, the fact that it is a doily does not stand out, but adds texture which is what I wanted.
Using Neenah cardstock I die cut the pieces I would need in the number needed. I made puddles of ink and water using Cracking Campfire, and another puddle using Twisted Citron and Rustic Wilderness, then smooshed the carrots through the mixture and set aside to dry.

I then put down more colour and with my fingers added extra colour to the carrots for texutre. I did the same for the carrot tops and dragged the ribbon, given to me from a friend) through the Rustic Wilderness.

The little carrot is from another set and a left over so I added it to my sentiment tag along with the sentiment from another set stamped with VersaFine Clair ink in Tulip Red.
The background is done with ink smooshing using the twisted citron and rustic wilderness. Again, the background was embossed using the doily embossing folder.

And here is the Bunny, digging up the carrots and having a nibble or two. To colour the Bunny I made a puddle of antique linen and another puddle of gathered twigs applying it the same way I did for the carrots.
For his face I used Copic markers in 100, R11 and R22. I die cut the grass and applied twisted citron and rustic wilderness. I put the bunny together using Nuvo adhesive along with foam strips.

I then punched a few crumbs for the bottom of the card using a left over mini carrot which had the colours I wanted. For the sentiment I used my Brother Label Maker as I wanted it small. Who knew, another use for that machine!

As always, I had a lot of fun making this card, and I hope you all enjoyed it as well. Following are Affiliate links for the products I used at no extra cost to you.
