Meet "Coffee Love".
I have done this card for the Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoaststampers.com. This week we are visiting Crazy Dog T-shirts where I found these oven mitts.
I spent a day doing some backgrounds earlier this week along with a friend, and this is another one of them. I had picked my piece for the inspiration challenge, so I knew the colours I wanted.
Rather than using the darker blue, I changed it to turquoise, but I did add the coffee cup and the sentiments both on the front and inside of the card from the Coffee Mug stamp set.
I made three background pieces sized 4.25 x 5.5, using one of them for my die cut.
In the background I used the Salvaged Patina with the stencil, then added in the Peacock Feathers, which I also added to the mug.
The mug is attached using foam strips, and the coffee is coloured with a Copic marker.
I added beautiful gems from Studio Katia representing the steam rising from the coffee. I love these gems.
This was an easy card to make, and I am very happy with the final look. I also love the colours.
