This is "New Roost".
This card today is a continuation of the card I made yesterday, using the same stamp and die set by Honey Bee Stamps. Today however, the birds are "roose" hunting!
The decorating for the new roost came together rather quickly. I kept very close to the same colour palette, today using Peacock Feathers and Twisted Citron Oxide inks for the background sponging on an embossed background using the Gemini folder that came with my machine.
Once the colour was completed I splattered the piece with clean water and dried before attaching it to my card base, then adding the die cut frame.
The bird, branches and birdhouse I stamped in my mini Misti and coloured with Copic markers as follows. Birdhouse is G14, G17; Bird is BG32, BG34, BG13 and the branches are G14, G12.
On the branches I did not like the stark white showing so I went around it with BG13, which is close to the background colour.
To put it all together I attached the pieces to the background using foam tape and foam strips.
I then added in some gems from Studio Katia for a little sparkle here and there using Nuvo adhesive. You can see the inside on the card following, which is a sponged page using the Peacock Feathers along with a bird attached in the bottom corner. You cannot see the sentiment, but I have used one by Penny Black.
Thank you for joining me today.
