Let me introduce you to "Words of Colour".
This card has been done for the Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoaststampers.com. This week we are visiting a site featuring the textiles of Darya Karenski.
While visiting her Pinterest site I came across this design. I loved the different shades of pink/reds and decided this would be my inpsiration.
For my leaves I decided I would use my Leaf die from Pinkfresh Studios.
Using Neenah cardstock I cut 7 of the leaf cuts, in case I messed up. I used all but one of them as it turned out, using one on the inside of the card.
To colour I used Copic makers in R22, R35 and R59, keeping it simple.
My card base is Neenah Solar white. I also cut two panels, one for the front of the card and one for inside the card, both 5.25 x 4".
For the front panel I die cut a circle using Penny Black's Stitched Circles, attaching the panel with foam tape to my card base.
To attach the branches I used both Nuvo adhesive and foam strips. The circle that was cut out I glued inside the card along with one of the branches in R35.
To finish my card, in my Misti I stamped the sentiment on the card front using Ranger Vermillion ink. I then attached the green pearls from my stash.
I hope you have enjoyed the making of this card as much as I did. I know, I always say that, but I mean it.
