Introducting "Elegant Aster".
For our class yesterday we decided on a 5.5" square card, with several layers of cardstock along with an embossed piece on the top panel left on the card. The inside has the same layers minus the embossed piece. The top piece on both cards were attached using foam tape.
There were a few choices for flowers and branches, but it ended up with the same choice for the flower, just the branches changed.
This is my sample card, using Gina K Designs Elegant Asters middle flower along with Penny Black's Layered Leaves. My Aster was heat embossed using gold embossing powder by Nuvo and the leaves were die cut using gold metallic cardstock with both being attached using foam squares.
I finished with three (3) gold pearls.
The 2nd design used the same layers and embossing folder with the same flower, however this time the flower was embossed in a light lilac colour.
The leaves were die cut using the Neenah cardstock, and both were attached using foam squares. I should mention that the flowers and leaves were styled before attaching.
To finish this card three (3) crystals were attached to the bottom right.
This clean and simple design can be used for any occassion, hence we did not add sentiments, waiting instead for an occasion.
