This is "Lemonade".
I am all in for a tall glass of lemonade today, wish you were here to join me! It is going to be a very hot one, so Lemonade seems like a good idea, even for a card.
While searching my stash for white watercolour paper I came upon this paper. I have not a clue where it is from, and even if it is watercolour paper, but it felt like it so I took a chance. And luck was on my side, it took to the water - yay!
I wanted some bright colours so I used distress ink in Squeezed Lemonade and Flamingo Pink along with Daniel Smith watercolours Hansa Yellow and Quinacridone Rose. I added the distress inks first, let it dry then added in the Hansa Yellow and Quinacridone Rose.
In my mini Misti I added the stamped glass and sentiment using VersaFine Clair ink in Nocturne. I did three (3) passes to ensure a nice black colour.
At the same time I made a piece for the inside of my card using the same colours, and stamped the sentiment and a lemon using the VersaFine Clair ink in Nocturne.
For the inside of my card I picked the sentiment saying "When life gives you lemons make something sweet".
I used adhesive to glue the inside card piece in place, and for the front I attached foam tape to the piece then added it to the base, which is the same paper.
To finish I added a few enamel dots.
