This is "Bloom".
I made this card awhile back and then forgot about it. It is one of those that I am still unsure about. Alas, that doesn't mean I can't share it.
It is the background of the lattice paper work that throws me, the left side feels unfinished, yet it is just the way it had to be cut.
The lattice work is loose, showing the tiny squares a bit more, which I do like. To add more texture to the background I ran it through using an embossing folder, and then I liked it more! lol
To add some texture to it I splattered with the paint colours from the flowers, which I think also added to the look.
In my mini Misti I arrange the flowers in place, on a piece of Arches cold press watercolour paper and stamped using VersaFine Clair ink in Nocturne.
I then proceeded to watercolour using Daniel Smith watercolours. Once the piece was finished I fussy cut along the top and around the flowers.
I also die cut the "bloom" and watercoloured using the same colour as the background for the flowers. In my mini Misti I stamped the sentiment using the Nocturne ink and die cut with a stitched die.
To detail the garden flowers a bit more I added splatters using white watercolour.
To put it all together I attached the lattice embossed background to my card base using Nuvo adhesive. I then attached the flowers along the base of the card using foam tape to prop them up.
To finish my card I attached the sentiments using foam squares.
