Meet "Bunny Friend".
This darling little image is from Paper Rose Studio that may be an older stamp. I just got it, but that does not mean it is new, if you know what I mean!
I still wanted to colour it up though, and decided on watercolour, stamping the image in my mini Misti using VersaFine Clair ink in Nocturne.
To watercolour I used only three colours. Sleeping Beauty Turquoise Genuine, Quinacridone Pink and Neutral Tint.
I also added shadows with the Neutral Tint on the right and top side of the bunnies ears as well as along the bottom of the bunny. Once all was dry I die cut the piece using a die from my Spellbinders Hemstitch set.
For the background I had in my drawer a mixture of Picket Fence Studios Paper Glaze Enhancer with Sparkle Paper Glitz. To it I added the Sleeping Beauty Turquoise Genuine watercolour, adding enough to just turn the colour to the blue side.
I applied the mixture using a stencil from A Colorful Life Designs, and when dry I splattered the piece with the Sleeping Beauty Turquoise Genuine to add more interest.
I then applied Peacock Feathers distress ink to a piece of white cardstock until I got a nice dark version of the ink, and stamped the sentiment from the Honey Bee set using white embossing powder then die cut the piece using the coordinating die.
To put it all together I added the stencil background piece to my card base using foam tape. I then added the circle die in place, again using foam tape. A scattering of gumdrops and the sentiment on a foam strip finished my card.
