Pine Cone Watercolour

This is "Pine Cone Watercolour".

This card I did for Watercolour Wednesday at Splitcoaststampers.com. Today's challenge is hosted by our Design Team member Stacy, and she has picked this video for the challenge.
This Pine Cone is a White Pine Cone, which is known for the slim look. I admit, I prefer these over the bigger pine cones.

I did watch the video, but one would never know it by looking at my painting. Alas, I just went my own way and this is the end result.
I am using Arches cold press watercolour paper and the following watercolours: Winsor Newton Sepia, Burnt Sienna, Permanent Rose, Olive Green, and Burnt Umber. I also used Daniel Smith Quinacridone Gold mixed with Winsor Newton Olive Green for the needles.

Once I was finished with the painting I added splatters with a thin brush using the green, Burnt Sienna and Permanent Rose.
To finish I attached the card panel to an olive cardstock, then to a Neenah white cardbase. I have not decided on a sentiment, as I may use this for Christmas.

Thanks so much for visiting with me today. Following are Affiliate links for the products I have used for this card, at no extra cost to you.
