This is "Rainbow Hearts".
Yes, today's card is a bit busy, but the hearts were calling to me and so are the Rainbows, which I will explain later in my post.
The hearts are so cute and are from two sets of Honey Bee stamps, which I list below. I like things in 3's so, it meant 3 rows of hearts and my rainbow colours included a turquoise instead of the indigo blue.
I used distress oxide inks because of their cloudy look. My colours are Barn Door, Carved Pumpkin, Squeezed Lemonade, Twisted Citron, Peacock Feathers, Blueprint Sketch and Wilted Violet.
For my background I used a stencil from A Colorful Life Designs, one of my favourite stencils called Lava Blooms, adding some of the colours I would be using for the hearts, but I also threw in a pink with a light application of Kitsch Flamingo.
To put it all together I attached the hearts starting the first row with the colours of the rainbow, followed by the second and third row. Some are glued on, others are attached with foam squares.
I then stamped the sentiment words using VersaFine Clair ink in Tulip Red and Warm Breeze and attached them to the card using foam strips.
That about finished this card today. I will be putting my bird to sleep this week, and this card was made all about her. She is losing her battle with her kidney, and now it has become about her quality of life, and as hard as it is I must do what is right for her.
Thank you for visiting with me today. It is funny how 4 little heart dies made such a special card for me. I hope you like it too.
I will add links sometime later, for now this is for CC, as it is her birthday.
This card evokes so much happiness & joy! The love you put into this is so clear. I’m so sorry for your heartbreak, Kia. I fully understand.
