Introducing "Sending Sunshine".
I am hosting the Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoaststampers.com today. The site I picked for the challenge is a Canadian site I found while looking for sites in Canada that would be good for this challenge.
We are visiting the Waterloo Region Art Fresco Table Project. A description of the project is on the first page found with the picnic tables.
I picked this picnic table as my inspiration. I knew I had this stencil, but the tree was the negative part of the stencil. Not to be deterred I inked up the stencil with Memento ink in Tuxedo Black with a healthy layer of ink, keeping within the frame.
I blew a big breath on the inked stencil to keep the ink moist, then placed the stencil, with the inked side facing down, on my Neenah cardstock.
It worked enough that I could follow the outline of the black ink and draw in more branches of the tree along with the bottom trunk and land aresa.
Following the picnic table I coloured the open area's using Copic markers in R27, R39, V17, B04, BG34, and Y02. I also used Copic 100 on the tree.
I left open spots at the top of the card before finishing the branches for flowers, which I added using a discontinued Hero Arts set as the flower was small enough. I don't seem to have any small flowers!
Once the flowers were stamped I coloured them using Copic markers in RV04 and R25. I then stamped an extra five (5) flowers, which I fussy cut and coloured using Copic R43 and RV25.
I styled the flowers then glued them over five of the stamped flowers along the bottom part of the tree. I then added a few Studio Katia gems.To finish up I stamped the sentiment using Versamark embossing ink and heat embossed with Lawn Fawn white embossing powder and attached to the card using foam strips.
I enjoyed making this card, even though it was time consuming. Thank you for stopping by today.
