Welcome to the September 2022 release for A Colorful Life Design.
I have 8 cards to share with you today, all using stencils from the newest release at A Colorful Life Design. I love this release, for many reasons, but mostly these are fun stencils to use, and the release also includes baby stencils.
My colour palette for most of my cards this month consist of distress oxide inks in Cracked Pistachio, Squeezed Lemonade, Salvaged Patina and Carved Pumpkin.
For the card above I have used two stencils, the first being Random Boxes in the background along with the Chunks stencil on top, and they are done using my colour palette as noted above. The top panel is added using foam tape, with the sentiment "Celebrate" stacked and glued on and the first part of the sentiment stamped.
Again I am using the colours from my palette, but have omitted the carved pumpkin for this card. A clean and simple card where I have combined two stencils, being the Random Boxes along with the Blam stencil. The sentiment is Good Thoughts from Stampers Anonoymous.
This is Dream Stars stencil where I am using my palette colours and have also added a layer of heat embossing to the stars. I wish it showed in the picture, but it is very pretty in real life.
On a separate piece of white cardstock I stamped the sentiment using VersaFine Clair ink in Paradise and die cut it with the coordinating dies and finished with a few gumdrops.
This card is created using the leftover inks which remained on the Chunks stencil. I spritzed the stencil with water and placed a piece of Ranger Tim Holtz distress watercolour paper on top face down.
I added a piece of folded paper towel along with some weight to keep the inks in contact with the card and let it sit for probably 5 minutes while I die cut the Altenew Antique Blossom and the sentiment, which are both coloured with Copic markers.
Once the background was dry I attached it to my Gina K Design card base using foam tape, then attached the Antique Blossom die using foam sqaures and glued the sentiment in place along with a few gems.
I then turned my attention to this small stencil called Broken Tracks which of course had me thinking of bird tracks. Using blue cardstock with the stencil and a sponge dauber I applied Ranger Glacier White pigment ink, giving it a couple of passes.
Once dry using my white gel pen I went down the centre of each of the tracks, which added more white than the ink did!
I then stamped the love birds using Memento Ink and coloured with Copics. Once finished I fussy cut the love birds out. I added the blue panel along the left side of the A2 card, then attached the love birds using foam squares and stamped the sentiment in place.
For this card I went off my colour palette and got into the golds and darker pinks using distress oxide inks in Seedless Preserves, Picked Raspberry, Spun Sugar, Dried Marigold, Scattered Straw and Mustard Seed.
I die cut the flowers from white cardstock and attached to the card front using foam squares and a touch of glue at the bottom of the stems. I then stamped the sentiment using my mini Misti and VersaFine Clair ink in Purple Delight.
And for my final card today another colour change, this time using distress oxide inks in Spun Sugar, Kitsch Flamingo and Picked Raspberry for my background, which I taped off to create the white frame. I then stenciled on the sentiment "It's A Girl" using Barn Door distress oxide.
To the top I added the Hearts Circle die with foam squares. I then stamped the sentiment and the Onsie in my mini Misti and die cut the Onsie with the coordinating die, and trimmed up the sentiment die attaching it to the bottom of the Heart Circle.
