Autumn Colours

 

Introducing "Autumn Colours".

These images are by Penny Black and I think they make for such a pretty scene when watercoloured. I used Zig pens for the watercolouring along with Fabriano Hot Press watercolour paper and stamped using VersaFine Clair ink in Nocturne.

It has been a long time since I have used my Zigs, so I thought it was about time. I wish however, that I had done the larger pumpkin a bit darker tone of green.

In my mini Misti I stamped the images I wanted to use for this card. The fence was stamped on a piece of A2 watercolour card, and the pumpkins and flowers on a separate piece of watercolour card.

The colours I used for the Fence and Wreath are 072 Beige, 066 Dark Oatmeal, 065 Mid Brown, 062 Dark Brown; the Grass is 043 Olive Green; 

The background colour is 031 Cobalt Blue; the Pumpkins, flowers and leaves are 050 Yellopw, 052 Bright Yellow, 070 Orange, 025 Pink, 022 Carmine Red, 036 Light Blue, 041 Light Green, 044 Deep Green and 047 May Green.

Once the watercolour was dry I attached the A2 piece to a Neenah cardbase.

The pumpkin and flowers are a separate image and have been die cut with the coordinating dies then attached to the card front using foam squares.

To finish in my mini Misti I stamped the sentiment using VersaFine Clair ink in Nocturne.
