Joyce and I are back today to share our cards from Wednesday past.
We used the same stamps and dies, but went in different directions with colours. Joyce keeping with her beautiful pastel palette and me with my colour saturation palette.
On her card base Joyce used Saltwater Taffy which she applied using an ink brush. She then attached the coverplate by Pinkfresh using adhesive.Joyce punched out a few of the pieces from the leaf die, then applied the Saltwater Taffy oxide ink to the right side of her leaf.
Using Copic markers Joyce coloured the flower, leaf and stem, along with the tag. The colours she used are R32, R22 and R30; G12, YG61, G24.
Once the colouring was finished I ran both of the stamped florals through my Scan'n Cut to fussy cut. The flower was styled and attached to the card using foam squares and Joyce finished with a few gems.
I followed the same steps as Joyce did for her card, except for the colours. For my card base and die cut leaf I used distress oxide in Dried Marigold.
The flower I coloured with Copic markers as follows: YR15, YR68, YR09 and in the flower centre YR18; the leaf and stem are G00, G02, BG23, BG32 and G07. The tag has E11 and YR09.
To finish I added a few gumdrops.
Thank you for joining us today. I hope you have enjoyed the cards Joyce and I made. Next week we will be changing it up a bit, so do join us then.
