Meet "Hello Fall".
This is for Watercolour Wednesday at Splitcoaststampers.com, which is hosted this week by Linda. You can find the video here and a free pdf drawing download of the scene here. (just cursor down a bit).
For this A2 card I am using Arches cold press watercolour paper along with Winsor Newton and Daniel Smith watercolours.
I did use the free download to draw out the scene and opted for a bunch of pumpkins rather than a few large pumpkins.
I also leaned more towards the darker browns than the black for my scene. I used Burnt Umber, Sepia, Venetian Red, Payne's Grey, Cadmium Red Deep, Orange/Red Shade, Cadmium Yellow Light, and Scarlett Red for splattering.
I added Dr. Ph. Phil white watercolour to the pumpkins as was mentioned in the video. It really makes a difference to the look of the pumpkin, which I like.
I kept the painting very loose, a style I love, and I find it easier to do than a painting that requires more attention. I tend to mess those paintings up!
Once the watercolour was dry I attached the piece to a Neenah white card base. In my mini Misti I stamped the sentiment using Catherine Pooler Ink in Cranberry Fizz.
