Meet "Hog Wild".
One cannot help but have a giggle when looking at these cute pigs from Avery Elle. I decided for my card today that I would watercolour using distress inks.
In my mini Misti, using VersaFine Clair ink in Nocturne, I arranged the stamps, first stamping the upside down pig and the running pig, then masking these pigs while I stamped the puddle and the sitting pig.
I wanted to keep the scene loose and fun, like the stamps are, so I decided to watercolour with distress inks. For the pigs I used Saltwater Taffy distress ink and Speckled Egg distress ink. I mixed the Saltwater Taffy with a bit of Crackling Campfire using this to paint areas on the ears and the snout.
I added the Speckled Egg to the "cloven hooves". For the ground I used Antique Linen distress ink, and the mud puddle uses Walnut Stain.
I added a few flowers in a totally inappropriate spot as you would find them in some places. For the sky I used Broken China distress ink and the butterflies are Squeezed Lemonade with a touch of Crackling Campfire distress ink.
The sentiment was stamped using the VersaFine Clair Ink in Nocturne. I also added Nuvo Midas Touch to the mud puddle and the flower blooms.
I matted the watercolour piece with kraft card, then attached all to a Neenah card base. On the inside I stamped the standing pig with the Go Hog Wild sentiment and watercoloured as I did these pigs.
Another fun card to share with you. Thank you for joining me today and I hope you have enjoyed this card as much as I enjoyed playing with it.
