We are celebrating over at A Colorful Life Design with our October release, chaulked full of googly stencils and beautiful fall stencils - a bit of something for everyone.
I am starting this post off with the Halloween stencils that are being released today. The above stencil is called Watching You, which I have done using Chipped Saphire and Wilted Violet Oxide inks and glitter gel pens on his arms and hands.
You best be afraid of those spiders - gives me the creeps! This stencil is Love Web, which I did by inking the web with wilted violet oxide ink and applying face down to white card stock. It takes awhile to transfer and use a lot of ink for better results. I added splatters and those fun spiders when the stencil was dry, along with some Pops in the purple.
If the Hat Fits - has me laughing. Such a fun stencil for Halloween called Hat Fits, and it comes with the sentiment included. I used some bright colours, Wilted Violet, and Twisted Citron along with some Copic markers to do the band. I do like the look of it too.
I considered making this cat black, which would be easy enough, but I really liked the look of the white cat called Layered Scaredy Cat. Probably because I once had a white cat named Snowy. Used Wilted Violet and Twisted Citron along with some purple Pops of colour.
Yikes I thought to myself once I finished this card. Maybe the blood running down the "wall" is not a good idea, but it is a Halloween card after all!
Used Walnut Stain for the Voodoo Doll with the Long Drips stencil and stamped using a stamp from Impression Obsession.
When I saw this Ghostly Squad stencil it reminded me of beach babes, and I am not sure why! I think it was the sunglasses. It sure is cute though. I used Speckled Egg to colour the Squad, then added the Spooky sentiment above the Squad, along with the Lightning Bolt and finished with some silver Pops of colour.
Moving on now to the fall stencils:
This beautiful flower stencil is called "Mega Flower". I used distress inks in yellow tones for the flower and added in Vintage Photo for the flower centre. It is such a pretty stencil. Stamped the greeting using VersaFine Clair ink in Tulip. Despite using my Misti, the stamp is not straight - darn me!
This is the beautiful Leaves and Acorns stencil, which I just love. I used fall colours in reds, oranges, yellows and browns for this card along with a Lawn Fawn Fall die cut.
Love this stencil, called Leaf Frame. On Neenah cardstock I used the browns oranges and mustard colours along with a little squirrel from Lawn Fawn. I stamped the sentiment using Memento Ink in Rhubarb Stalk. Die cut the front panel and attached to a dark brown cardstock using foam tape.
This is a slimline card which I did using the Big Oak stencil which is 6x9. I used oxide inks in Antique Linen, Speckled Egg, Abandoned Coral, Barn Door, and Salvaged Patina. The sentiment is stamped using VersaFine Clair ink in Pinecone, a dark brown.
I think this would be my favourite card. I am using the Oak Elements stencil on Fabriano Hot Press watercolour paper. To watercolour I used distress oxide inks in Rusty Hinge, Antique Linen, Speckled Egg, Crackling Campfire and Frayed Burlap. I stamped the sentiment using Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black. I then fussy cut the leaves out leaving a bit of the watercolour paper, and attached with foam tape to a die cut Neenah cardstock piece. For the card base I put down the same colours on my work surface and taped around the edges of the card transferring the ink to the card base.
I think this is my last card and I am using Football Flowers on Kraft card. To the flowers I stenciled using white pigment ink. The colour was too faded for my liking so I went back and added white gel pen to all the white pieces, then added black Sharpie for the black dots. I added the Tim Holtz sentiment with foam tape, then added the white frame by Impression Obsession to frame the flowers.
These are all fabulous stencils, and I hope you have enjoyed the cards I have made using some of them. You can find the full release below along with Affiliate links for the products, at no extra cost to you.
