This is "Blessings".
Today it is time to post my card for Watercolour Wednesday at Splitcoaststampers.com. Our hostess this week is Brenda and she has picked a video by MarenaArt called Autumn Flowers in Vase.
I have a vase similar to the vase Marena painted, which is ceramic. I painted it and sanded it, in green colours, hence I used that as reference for my vase here. My colours are Cascade Green, Jadite Genuine and a tad of Green Gold.
As Marena did, I added the background colour first, using a watered down English Venetian Red and let it dry. I watered the colour down even more, and added more colour to my background. While still wet I added in watered down Quinacridone Gold.
I then die cut my watercolour card using stitched rectangle dies from Paper Rose.
When all was dry I added in Manganese Blue for water. I then drew in the branches using Sepia and when dry started adding the berries using full strength English Venetian Red. I watered this down again and added more berries with the lighter version.
To finish I added splatter using Burnt Umber and stamped my sentiment from Penny Black in VersaFine Clair ink Nocturne.
Thank you for joining me today. I hope you have enjoyed this watercolour. Following are Affiliate links for the products I have used for this card, at no extra cost to you.
