Go Nuts

 

This is "Let's Go Nuts".

It is nearing that time when my cards will become "Winter/Christmas" cards. We have already had snow in my area, mind you it only stuck for a day, but it is cold, so no doubt there is more to follow!

This background has been sitting on my desk, getting moved from one side to the other, for months now. Today I decided I either use it or get rid of it. I really like it, so I decided to build my scene around it for today's card.

The background is alcohol inks on a piece of 4.5 x 4.5 Yupo. I cannot remember the colours now, but it looks to be yellows along with a light and darker orange.

I misted the back of the Yupo paper then ran the piece thought my Gemini Junior using Altenew's Garden Harmony embossing folder.

In my mini Misti I stamped the Heffy Doodle pieces I wanted to use on my card with Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black and proceeded to colour using Copic markers.

For the Squirrel I used copic E57, E37, E35 and E21; the Birds are YR27, YR18, YR04 and YR02; The Nuts E33 and E37; Seeds YR27, E37; Bird Feeder E57 and E37.

To put it all together I made my cardbase using Gina K Design cardstock in Coral Reef. For the matting I used Gina K Design Wild Dandelion cardstock.

I attached the piece using foam squares, then stamped the sentiment using VersaFine Clair ink in Pinecone stamping on yellow cardstock, framoing it with the Coral Reef, and attaching it to the base using foam strips.
