For my card I am using Penny Black Candlesticks on Fabriano Hot Press watercolour paper and a Gina K Design card base in Soft Stone.
In my mini Misti I stamped the image using Antique Linen distress ink. I wanted to start with this colour as I am watercolouring, but towards the end I went around the candle holders and candles using Daniel Smith Neutral Tint.
First I painted the background using a mixture of Raw Sienna and Magenta varying the intensity of colour as I went.
To watercolour I am using Daniel Smith colours in Permanent Rose, Cobalt Blue, Lemon Yellow and Payne's Gray. I am also using colours from the 66 colours Daniel Smith's Dot card. And, I am using a bit of shimmer from the Gansai watercolours.
When I want the shimmer I mix the Gansai with the Daneil Smith colour. I do wish it would show up better in the pictures.
For the leaves I used a colour from my palette colours called Diopside Genuine, adding in sparingly Jadite Genuine.
For the berries I used a mixture of Gansai gem colours in pink and purple, and added in highlights with a white gel pen.
To paint the candles I mixed Daniel Smith Raw Sienna with the KingArt glitter marker Magenta to get that beautiful colour along with shimmer. As I mentioned above, I finished by goind around the candlesticks and candles with the Daniel Smith Neutral Tint. I finished with crystal gems.
I do hope you have enjoyed this card and its whimsical look, and I thank you for your visit. Following is the hop list, and following that are Affiliate links for the products I used for this card, at no extra cost to you. Up next on the hop is Karen
