Meet "Let It Snow".
Snowfall is near in my area, and as I have said before, I cannot wait. I love the snow, especially first thing in the morning when all is quiet.
This card for today is all about snowfall, starting with the background which I did using A Colorful Life Stencil called Snowflake Net.
On a piece of Neenah card, I arranged the stencil, taping it down on all 4 sides. I am not stingy with my tape, the better it is taped the less likely I will have "under stencil mash". Yes, that is a thing! I then applied Opaque Distress Grit-Paste, and immediately was in awe.
This paste is truly beautiful. It really does look like snow with its sparkle. I had one of those wow moments when I applied it.
I set the piece aside to dry and moved on to die cutting a lot of snowflakes from different kinds and colours of paper. Some using metallic papers, some using glitter papers and some using a Specialty design paper.
As the background was dry, I decided I would sponge on some Shaded Lilac distress ink to the card front. I then glued down the stenciled background using Nuvo adhesive.
While my ink was out, I cut two pieces for inside the card. The base piece I sponged on the Shaded Lilac, then attached the top white piece. I also glued on a couple of snowflakes.
Moving back to the front of the card I then arranged the snowflakes, stacking a few and using foam squares on a few. The ones glued down were done using Nuvo adhesive.
To finish I added a splattering of sequins, that are actually clear, hence they are picking up the colours from the card and surrounding objects.
That is my card for today. I hope you have enjoyed this and thank you for your time. Following are Affiliate links for the products I used for this card, at no extra cost to you.
