Meet "Red Mittens".
When I was perusing Facebook earlier today I came across some cards that Micheline Jourdain, one of which was using these mittens. It has been some time since I have used this stamp, which I still love, so I thought why not?
I was pleasantly surprised to find that she cut her stamp apart, which I also did several years back. I often do this when a stamp is not working the way I want it to.
Using Neenah 110lb cardstock and my Misti I stamped the Berry Bramble, which I coloured using Tombow Markers.
I started with the Berry Bramble, colouring the branch first, using Chocolate (969), then adding in some Lamp Black (N25). For the berries I used Warm Red (885) along with Chinese Red (856).
The Mittens I coloured using the Warm Red (885).
In the background I painted with a damp brush adding in Tumbled Glass distress oxide ink.
The left mitten I fussy cut and styled, then attached it using foam squares.
To finish up I stamped the sentiment using VersaFine Clair ink in Blue Belle, adding the "joy" using Tulip Red. I then attached the piece to a red Gina K Design cardstock.

It is always fun I think to remember our older stamps, and to bring them out from time to time to show them some love. These stamps I hold dear, and will have them always. Do you have stamps like that?
