Wonderland

Meet "Wonderland".

It is time for the Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoaststampers.com. Our hostess this week is Julie and she has chosen Wescover for our Inspiration site this week.
My inspiration came from this print.

The background is done using Tim Holtz Tree Rings. Using Fabriano Hot Press paper I inked up the inside of the embossing folder using distress inks in browns. I spritzed the watercolour paper before placing inside the embossing folder, and ran it through my Gemini Jr.
As there was still ink on the embossing folder I spritzed it lightly and layed in place a piece of the hot press watercolour paper, which left me the design on the paper. This I die cut with the stitched circles die.

I trimmed the background to fit my card, and with the left over piece I sponged on Barn Door, then added Walnut Stain over the top.
Using the Darling Deer dies I die cut two of the deer from the hot press watercolour paper, and water coloured using the Walnut Stain on one, and Gathered Twigs on the other.

From Neenah cardstock I die cut the "wonderland' die x 2 and coloured with Copic R27, then glued them together using Nuvo adhesive.. I then die cut the sentiment from the Gina K Design red velvet cardstock and glued that piece to the top.
To put the card together I attached the embossed piece to my Gina K Design card base using foam tape. I then attached the circle die, also using foam tape, then glued in place the sentiment banner, which has foam tape on both sides to keep it level.

I attached the deer using foam squares and Nuvo glue, then glued in place the sentiment, also using the Nuvo adhesive.

To finish I added a few pearls, both for the eyes of the deer and for embellishments.

Thanks so much for visiting today. Following are Affiliate links for the products I have used for this card, at no extra cost to you.
