Meet "Gnome Christmas".
This is done for Watercolour Wednesday at Splitcoaststampers.com today, which I am hosting. The video I picked for today can be seen here.
I opted to paint the Gnome, as you can see, but I opted out of the thumb print part, instead painting the feet freehand. I knew if I tried to use my thumbs I would mess it up. lol
I am using Arches 140# cold press watercolour paper and Daniel Smith watercolours from the Ultimate Mixing set. From the set I used Phyrrol Scarlett, a tad of Alizarin Crimson, Hansa Yellow Medium and Jane's Gray.
For the beard I used the Jane's Gray which I mixed with a bit of the Dr. Ph. Martin's Bleedproof white watercolour to keep it on the lighter side.
Using the Jane's Gray I added the eyes and mouth and added a bit of Quinacridone Gold to the nose.
In my mini Misti I stamped the sentiment from Picket Fence Studios to the card front using VersaFine Clair ink in Nocturne.
To finish up I attached the card panel to a Hammermill card front.
For the inside I die cut a piece of the Hammermill cardstock using Paper Rose Pierced rectangle die and attached it to a piece of Gina K Design Red Hot cardstock.
In my mini Misti I stamped a Christmas sentiemnt from the same set I used on the front of the card.
Also in the video the artist used glitter on the card at the end, I opted out, as I know a lot of people don't like cards with glitter, even at Christmas!
