This is "In the Winter".
I woke up late this morning, which annoys me, but I must have needed the extra sleep - or maybe it had soemthing to do with my neighbours dog Buddy barking through the night and waking me up!
Alas I love that dog to no end, so he is always forgiven.
But, I was also in the mood to stencil. I pulled out two stencils with different patterns and decided to do a two part application. And, this is easy and fast, but looks great I think.
Using a panel piece of 4 x 5.25 Hammermill cardstock I started with the City Windows stencil along with Picked Raspberry distress oxide ink.
I then changed the stencil to Basket Weave and applied Wilted Violet blending into Blueprint Sketch. I love those colours together, they blend so perfectly.
For added interest I flicked water on the panel using a downward motion to represent the rain we are about to get! lol
I then added cotton thread around the card panel between the pink and violet several times before tying in a knot. I then added another piece and tied it in a knot as well.
For a bit of winter greenery I die cut two leaf pieces in Neenah white cardstock and glued them in place hanging from under the thread.
Using foam tape I attached the panel to my Neenah card base. I then added the sentiment piece using foam strips.
To finish I added a few white gems.
