Meet "Let It Snow".
We are getting rain presently, but I would much prefer snow! Maybe this card will help. lol I have done this card for the Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoaststampers.com.
For our challenge today we are visiting a Pinterest site that team member Amy has put together for us with all kinds of clocks. It is great fun.
I picked this clock for my inspirtation mostly because of the colour, it reminded me of Speckled Egg, which is what I used for my snowflake background.
As I mentioned I used Speckled Egg distress oxide for the background. First however I stamped the snowflakes randomly around the card panel then heat embossed with white embossing powder.
To the snowflake panel I added splatters using Winsor Newton Gouach and a #4 Escoda brush. I find with the smaller brush I have more control with the splatters.
From Neenah cardstock I die cut the Let It Snow die sentiment. To the bottom of the die I sponged on Evergreen Bough 1/4 inch up the word. On the dot for the "i" I coloured using Copic G00.
To the back of the Let It Snow sentiment I added foam strips then attached the die to the card front. Using Nuvo glitter pen I added glitter to the evergreen colour on the bottom as well as the dot on the "i".
I like the contract between the Speckled Egg and the Evergreen Bough, something a little different!
