Let me introduce you to "Merry and Bright".
This card came about by accident. I did not have a plan, knowing only that I wanted to use the new Stampers Anonymous stamp set called Holiday Sketchbook.
I stamped the image with Unchartered Mariner distress ink on Neenah cardstock. I then die cut the piece using a Spellbinders die that is now discontinued, but I used it anyway.
Using my #6 watercolour brush I pulled the outside lines of the buildings toward the inside of the circle slightly, to give the buildings a softer appearance.
I then put down some of the Salvaged Patina distress ink on my work surface, and picked up the colour with my paint brush adding it to the tree, and on another piece of white cardstock I stamped the sentiment using the Unchartered Mariner ink.
To the back of the circle die I die cut a piece of Glitter foam sheet using the same circle die. I then coloured in the foam area where the mini squares were peeking through, using my glitter blue markers.
Using another piece of Neenah cardstock I cut a piece for the front of the card and after spritzing the front and back ran it through my machine inside the Winter Snowflakes embossing folder.
I then ran the Salvaged Patina distress ink over the top of the embossing, doing my best to keep it only on the top of the embossing.
Using Nuvo adhesive I attached the glitter foam to the back of the circle die, ensuring the coloured portion lined up. I then attached the embossed piece of card to my card base, again using the Nuvo adhesive, and glued the circle die in place.
To some of the falling snow in the scene I coloured the snow using a blue glitter pen.
