Polar Pals

Meet "Polar Pals".

This is such a cute set of stamps which made making this card a lot of fun. To start I first did the background using distress oxide inks in Salty Ocean, Blueprint Sketch and Chipped Sapphire.
Using A Colorful Life Design Falling Snowfall stencil I added distress grit paste in Snowfall and put the piece aside to dry.

Moving on to the Polar Bear I stamped using Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black and highlighted with Copic markers using B0000, B000, C1 and C3 around the bottom of the bear. I then added in a bit of R20, which I also added around the nose and in the ear.
The birds are coloured with R27 and YR07 on their beaks, as is the Penguin for his feet and beak. I used Copic 100 to colour his coat.

Once I was done all the colouring I die cut the pieces out using my Gemini Jr. I attached the background to my Neenah cardbase, then tore a small piece of white cardstock to form a snow base at the bottom of my card and glued it in place.
I almost forgot, but I wanted guoache and water splatters, so I did that using a #4 brush, taking care to not get it where I did not want it. Note to self, remember to do this before you attach the background to the cardbase!

Using foam squares I then attached the animals where I wanted them in the scene.
To finish I stamped the sentiments for the front and inside card using VersaFine Clair ink in Blue Belle and die cut them with the coordinating dies. On the card front I attached the sentiment with foam squares.

Inside the card I made another panel using the same colours, then glued in place the sentiment, which was also die cut. I also added the same colour of inks inside the card, before gluing in place the sentiment, and a second Penguin.

What fun! Thank you for joining me today. I hope you have enjoyed today's card.
