This is "Winter Wishes DIY Snow".
It is that time for Watercolour Wednesday at Splitcoaststampers.com. I am hosting today's challenge and as it has been such a busy time for everyone I picked something light, which is DIY Snow with WOW Changers.
I was hoping the sparkle would show up, but it does not. It does show in real life though! It probably has to do with the overcast skies we have, making even taking the pictures difficult.
This is a wet on wet watercolour, where I used Daniel Smith watercolours. Starting from left to right I used Phthalo Blue (Green Shade), Prussian Blue, Cobalt Blue and Cerulean Blue.
I let the piece dry for a bit before adding the splatters. It was still damp, so the splatters reacted perfectly. I did not want to use gouache or paint, so I just used the pigment and water for the splatters.I then let the piece dry completely, then stamped the sentiment using Versamark embossing ink along with WOW Sparkling Snow. It really does sparkle, honest!I skipped the part of using the embossing powder on the card front. Not my cup of tea, lol. I like the clean look as it is.
I made a piece for inside the card, except I used only the Cerulean, nice and light with a sentiment. The front panel is attached to a Neenah card base.
