This is "A Little Note".
Today's card I made as my sample for the Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoaststampers.com which is hosted this week by Stacy who has picked Brooke Giannetti as this week's Inspiration site.
When I saw the pin of my inspiration piece, at first I thought it was beads - like beaded curtains. It was not until I clicked on the link that I found it was Birch trees.
Alas, for my purposes I went with my first thought, the look of beaded curtains. That is my story and I am sticking with it!
As I am using an embossing folder for this card I decided to first apply the colour before adding the texture, which would make adding the colour more difficult.
For colour I am using Tim Holtz Distress Crayons in Winter Frost and Ranger watercolour cardstock. I picked Altenew's embossing folder Organic Linen to emboss. To do this I first placed a piece of waxed paper over the coloured piece and embossed using my Gemini Jr.
Using Art Glitter glue I attached the embossed piece to a light blue card base.
For my sentiment I die cut "a little note" from Spellbinder's Pop Up diecutting Glitter Foam along with cutting a piece from vellum for the shadow.
Using a Tombow marker #25, which is a yellow, I coloured the sentiment, then glued it to the piece of vellum, then glued it to the card front.
Finishing I added Pink and Main enamel dots.
