It is time for Watercolour Wednesday at Splitcoaststampers.com. Today we viewed a video by Ellen Crimi-Trent which covers Abstract watercolour.
I am using Arches cold press watercolour paper and started this painting by applying Art Masking Fluid for my lightening.
I saw an abstract painting similar to above some time ago, and it has stuck in my head because I always thought the white streaks reminded me of lightning.
On Arches cold press watercolour paper I painted the scene using Winsor Newton and Scmincke watercolours, being Schmincke Cobalt Turquoise, Phthalo Blue and Cadmium Yellow.
The green at the bottom is a mix of Winsor Newton Hooker's Green and Sap Green.
I attached the watercolour piece using foam tape to a Spellbinders cardstock base card called which is called Alabaster.
I thank you for visiting with me today, and hope you have enjoyed this watercolour painting.
