This is "Doily Smiles".
This card was very close to the trash bin I must say! I was pretty fed up with "my" mistakes as I made it. But, that is how I have learned during my card making journey.
This started out to be a card front of vellum design using Copic markers and the embossing folder. I coloured the back of the vellum using the Copic markers in R05, YR07, Y15, YG05, B14 and V17.
I then made the mistake of using spray glue on the glitter foam I was going to use to back the vellum piece. Well, it shrivelled up leaving me thinking the whole piece was "going down".
So I quickly pulled the vellum away from the glitter foam piece and wiped away all the glue. I then applied vellum tape, which I should have used in the first place, and attached the piece to Neenah card.
But I did not like the look, so I fussy cut the vellum piece out using those fabulous Tim Holtz scissors. Wow, they made that easier than usual.
I applied foam tape to the back of the piece and attached it to a piece of Wild Lilac cardstock by Gina K Design.
For my sentiment I used Pinkfresh Studio "Heart Smiles" along with versamark embossing ink and Lawn Fawn white embossing powder, then heat set.
To finish off I added a few pearls in a light lilac colour.
This piece of vellum has been through a lot, but I am pleased I managed to salvage it.
Thanks so much for joining me today. I am sorry to be so late in posting.

The rainbow colors on your card are perfect for this time of year when we are looking forward to spring. A few of my cards actually went into the trash bin only to be rescued a few days later to be used on a totally different card. I think it's my laziness that I try to use up what is on my desk or in the trash before cutting new things out.
