Hello all! Welcome to our March release for A Colorful Life Design. This release is sure to meet all your stencil needs.
I will start with the Easter part of the release.
Once again I made quite a few cards to share with you. Up first is the above card, called Love of Faith. I used distress oxide colours for the design in Tattered Rose, Saltwater Taffy and Abandoned Coral. The cardstock is from Gina K Design and is called Coral Reef.
I then stamped the sentiment in VersaFine Clair ink Tulip Red using A Colorful Life Design stamp set called "Happy". Such a sweet set to use for these kind of cards
Next up is "He is Risen".
This stencil is called Calvary Hill and is a 6x6 inch stencil. For my card I used Pigment Inks in Medina and Balsam.
I stamped the sentiment, which is from the "Happy" set by A Colorful Life Design in the Balsam ink. This card is bold, but I really like how it turned out. It has a lot of power with it.
This is "Happy Easter" and the stencil's name is the same.
I used two favourite colours being Mermaid Lagoon and Twisted Citron and added a few sparkly enamel dots. I love the happy colours radiating from this card.
Next up is "Spring Foliage", a 6x9 inch stencil, which I turned into a slimline card. The colours I decided on are Kitsch Flamingo, Peacock Feathers and Cracked Pistachio.
The die cut sentiment is by Pink and Main. I brushed on the same colours I used for the foliage stencil. To finish I added sparkle by way of pink rhinestones.
This stencil is called "Striking Floral". My colours for this are Peacock Feathers, Squeezed Lemonade and Twisted Citron. Once I was finished with the stencil work I embossed the card piece using Sizzix/Tim Holtz folder called "Woven" and added a few glitter drops.
For the sentiment I added a Ephemera from Pinkfresh Studio.
This is "Best Wishes". A beautiful rouned ball full of mall flowers. I can think of so many uses for this stencil. For today, I used it for a general card, or a birthday card.
For colour I picked distress oxide inks in Shaded Lilac, Wilted Violet and Seedless Preserves. I stamped and die cut my sentiment using VersaFine Clair ink in Fantasia.
Up next is "Bunnies".
This stencil is so darn cute and so fun to use. For my card I used Distress Oxide colours in what I call "Easter" colours. This is a 2 part stencil, with the nose and eyes being a second stencil. I used the same colour of Wilted Violet for all my bunnies. For the sentiment I used the ACLD stencil "Shadowed Easter".
To finish I attached to a Gina K Design cardstock in Wild Lilac and finished up with a few sequins.
This is "Carrot Grab".
A fun stencil with so much beauty I decided it needed a 5.5 square card. For colour I am again using Distress Oxide inks in Peacock Feathers, Abandoned Coral, Spiced Marmalade, Wild Honey, Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn and Kitsch Flamingo.
I finished up with pearls for the bunny eyes and decided I would put my sentiment inside the card. Such a fun card to make.
This is "Many Blessings".
For this card I am using the "Wildflowers" stencil. My colours are Peacock Feathers, Squeezed Lemonade and Cracked Pistachio. I attached my piece to a Gina K Design Applemint card.
For a bit of sparkle I added some glitter enamel dots and finished with a stenciled sentiment from A Colorful Life Design called Shadowed Blessings.
This stencil is "Outline Flowers". I inked up the front of the stencil, spritzed with water, then placed a piece of white Hammermill cardstock on top and let sit while rubbing along the back of the cardstock. I did this to ensure I had good contact before releasing the card.
Using VersaFine Clair Glamorous I stamped the "Happy" sentiment, then on a narrow cut piece of card I stamped "Spring" in VersaFine Clair Tulip Red and attached with foam strips. To finish I added Pinkfresh glitter drops.
I love this delicate "Painted Lace" stencil, it is just beautiful. I decided to use just one colour, which is Shaded Lilac. On a separate piece of card I stamped and die cut the sentiment from Pinkfresh Studio using Fantasia VersaFine Clair ink and attached using foam strips.
For sparkle I added clear glitter drops.
That completes my cards for the March release. There are further stencils in this release that I did not use, so be sure to check them out below in the links provided.

Fabulous bunch of samples! Several have caught my eye and I see many possibilities for the stencils. Thank U. Question…I don’t do many Easter cards what do you use for a sentiment inside? I’m non-religious. Many thanks again for the inspiration. Hugs, Nan
