Meet "Spring Birthday".
I spent yesterday morning watercolouring this beautiful bloom by Gina K Designs and so enjoyed myself. I used my Kuretake Clean Color brushes to watercolour along with Fabriano Hot Press watercolour paper.
I mixed different colours together, then picked them up with my paint brush to watercolour, keeping in the orange family of colours for the big flowers, with a bit of turquoise thrown in on little flowers and a lone tiny yellow flower.
The leaves are done with a couple of shades of the greens.
I set the flower piece aside and did the background, again using the markers put down on my glass top. spritzed with water, then dragged my cardstock through it.
After it dried I added splatters in white watercolour, along with Daniel Smith Amazonite Genuine and Ultramarine Turquoise.
When all was dry, I die cut the flower with the coordinating die. In my mini Misti I stamped the sentiment using VersaFine Clair ink in Nocturne.
For my card base I am using Gina K Design Turquoise Sea along with Black Onyx for matting. I then attached the Fabriano watercolour paper and using foam tape I then attached the styled floral piece.
In my mini Misti I stamped the sentiment using VersaFine Clair ink in Nocturne and attaching using foam strips. I then attached some Concord and 9th Dew Drops to finish.
Such a beautiful spring card, Kia. I always love your watercolor backgrounds too.
