This is "Poppy Field".
It is that time for the Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoaststampers.com. This week Ardyth is our guest hostess and she has picked Great Big Canvas for our inspiration site. I picked this wall art as my inspiration piece.
This is a embossing folder by Altenew called Peaceful Poppies. Using Neenah 110lb. card stock I ran the embossing folder through my machine after spritzing the front and back of the card stock.
I let the piece relax a bit before starting to colour. Today I am using Copic markers. The background is E02, E11 and E13. The leaves are G09, G17, G28 and a few with G24. The Poppies are done using R43, R35 and R27 with 100 for the centre plus a white gel pen.
When done with the Copic colouring I went back and added Y02 to the background along with a bit on a few of the Poppies.
When the yellow Y02 dried completely I felt the background still needed more of the yellow, so I applied a second layer in some places along with some fresh areas.
On my Neenah card base I applied Pinkfresh Ink in Emerald City around the edges of the cardstock, then attached the background piece.
To finish I added Pinkfresh Glitter Drops in Ruby around the card. I then added black marker to the Poppy centres and white dots using a white gel pen.
I like how this has turned out. It has such a different look compared to the other Copic coloured embossing folder technique cards that I have done.
I hope you enjoy it as well, and wish to thank you for your visit.
See you next time.
