This is "Yay!"
What is Yay you ask, it is actually a generic baby card for a baby shower of a baby who's sex is not known - Yay! I say. lol
I have made this card for today's Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoaststampers.com. Our site this week is The House of Awareness. Their Pinterest site can be found here.
My inspiration for this baby card came from these earrings. So cute they are.
My stamp is by Picket Fence Studios and is called "Let's Be Quackers". I stamped using Pinkfresh Inks in Sunshine. I then used a small tip Sharpie to colour in the red beaks.
I die cut the stamped piece using Pinkfresh Inverted Stitched Scallop Circle die set. On the outer edge of the circle piece I applied Grey Wink of Stella. I then fussy cut the scallop removing the edge and attached the piece to the die cut grey circle.
The grey appears much darker than it really is on the underside of the card, but the true colour can be seen on the top right side of the card.
I also die cut the smaller circle piece, and using the centre I sponged on some of the Sunshine Ink, then stamped with the sentiment in Pinkfresh Ink Candy Apple. On each of the ducks I added the eye using a Black small Sharpie.
To the back of the large circle I applied two way tape along with Art Glitter glue and attached it to my Neenah card base. I then applied Scrapbook.com Pops of Color in Rudolph Red to the bottom of each of the arches from the cut.
Using an old punch I cut out three Daisy flowers, coloured them with Copics in Y06 and smooshed in R17 to the centre, then topped the centres with more Pops of Color in the red. I styled them before attaching to the card, two using foam squares and one glued in place.
I always have fun making my cards, and this card is one of those. I hope you have enjoyed this Baby card as well, and thank you for your visit.
See you next time.
