Meet "Rose Hugs".
This card I have done for the Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoaststampers.com. Julie is our hostess today, and she has chosen the Smithsonian National Postal Museum for our site today.
For my inspiration I picked this Rose stamp.
For my card I am using Altenew's embossing folder called Rose Bellevue, which I coloured using Copic markers. Once again, I did not colour the embossing folder, I embossed the Rose using Hammermill cardstock, and applied the colour to that.
I added several layers of colour using Copic markers in RV29, RV25 and RV14; YG67, G14 and G12. For the sentiment I used G14 and YG67.
I die cut the Penny Black sentiment die x 3 from Hammermill cardstock, and coloured with the above noted Copic markers. I then glued the sentiment together using Glitter glue.
I attached the Rose to a 5.5 square Neenah card base, then glued on the sentiment. For a bit more sparkle I applied Nuvo Shimmer Pen to the sentiment.
To finish up I added a few Picket Fence sequins in shades of green.
I do love getting lost in colouring results from embosssing using Copic markers. So relaxing.
I hope you have enjoyed this card today.
See you next time.
